photo philosophy

Henry Thoreau once said that “The greatest gift would be to see through the eyes of another, for just a second.”  this quote expresses one of the many reasons we've always been fascinated with visual images, especially photography; it is as close as we can get to this. Everything about our images… what we photograph, the angles, and the editing we choose to do is our way of showing you the world through our eyes.

One of the things we love so much about photography is that we find it extremely relaxing and meditative; the time just happily slips away as we lose ourselves completely in the art of photographing anything and everything... we literally fall in love with the world through the lens; it's pretty wonderful!

We delight in photographing People, Places and Things and enjoy experimenting with different styles and techniques; we have just as much fun taking the photographs as we do editing them in our virtual darkroom.

We are most drawn, visually and creatively to photographs that make you feel something.

We thrive on capturing the essence of our subjects, those little unique expressions and fleeting moments in time that evoke deep emotion, tell a story and arouse a sense of curiosity in us to know more. The best photographs in our humble opinion are not ones that are technically perfect but ones that reflect the true spirit of its subject; whether that subject be animate or inanimate.

We hope you enjoy seeing the world through our eyes… if only for a second.
